| Barbara Mason Rast is an artist whose desire to illustrate Children's Books began at about the age of six. As a teen she developed the interest in learning to paint like the masters, such as Rubens and Van Dyck. She is a realist and endeavors to depict the magic of nature in her work wherever possible. Trained in commercial art, portrait painting, still life and illustration, she continues to look forward to new levels of expression. Barbara has several Children's Books in print and several works in progress of which she is both writer and illustrator. Her main objective in art and writing is to convey a sense of beauty, harmony, a bit of humor and phantasmagoria; visualizing a more perfect world. |
