Well done to Scarlett S, the newest Premier鈥檚 Anzac Memorial Scholarship recipient.
Scarlett is just one of just 20 students selected across NSW to receive the Premier鈥檚 Anzac Memorial Scholarship for 2025.
The Premier鈥檚 Anzac Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship offered by the NSW Government which provides Year 10 and 11 History students with a fully funded study tour to significant historical sites related to Australians at war.
Scarlett鈥檚 essay on the importance and value of war memorials stood out among more than 150 applicants from 112 high schools across the state, and she will now travel to key sites in Korea and Singapore including:
- The Battle of Kapyong at Gapyeong
- UN First Battle Memorial and Maryang San
- Kranji War Memorial, Changi Prison Chapel and Fort Siloso
In preparation for the scholarship, Scarlett will attend a briefing and tour at the ANZAC Memorial in Sydney alongside two Korean War veterans to get an in-depth understanding of the site鈥檚 history and Australian involvement.
